Research Assistant at CEROC: Tennessee Tech University                  August 2020 - Present

• Organize data gathering and analysis of various cyber attacks, security challenges, and defense techniques in smart manufacturing

• Create a Digital Twin to simulate realistic manufacturing environments, integrate with other simulation models, and develop secure implementations such as IDS and IPS

Year-Round CCD Intern: Sandia National Laboratories                       August 2021 - Present

• Conduct research and advance the objectives of the Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CyManII)

• Learn custom emulation tools including Phenix and Minimega to develop, test, and analyze new manufacturing models Help to mature the capabilities of smart manufacturing test models and simulators

Summer CCD Intern: Sandia National Laboratories                         May 2022 - August 2022

• Explored the utility of emulation models in identifying and mitigating cyber threats to ensure secure vaccine production processes

• Developed an MTConnect-based simulation system for manufacturing that can replay MTConnect data to analyze how machines are connecting, communicating, or moving various parts.

• Created and facilitated virtual intern activities including Sandia-Cyber Jeopardy, Would You Rather, and a Scavenger Hunt for more than 50 interns working in the CCD and TITANS program

Summer CCD Intern: Sandia National Laboratories                        May 2021 - August 2021

• Worked on a full stack AGILE development team to create a website for a foreign policy related application utilizing Flask, Docker, and mySQL

• Characterized IDaaS providers such as Okta to search for vulnerabilities and test services, identified potential security risks, and provided a written report of all findings related to security threats

• Participated in the following classes: WiFi Exploration/Hacking, Cybersecurity Network Analytics, and Data Science

CEROC Intern: Tennessee Tech   June 2020-July 2020 

• Created insightful presentations about cybersecurity in smart manufacturing

• Mentored 10 high school students in the Cyber Discovery virtual camp involving cybersecurity

• Helped students complete CTF’s, become more aware of cyber-threats, and learn Linux commands
